GERR'S MALDIVIAN SURF DREAM

With two young kids and a labor intensive start up business to attend to, Brad Gerlach hasn't had much time for surf trips in the last few years. He's now living on the Gold Coast of Australia, home of some of the world's best but also most crowded waves, so when the opportunity came along to teach the surf instructors & guests his Wave Ki program at the ultra lux Niyama Private Island Resort in the Maldives, he jumped at the opportunity. Brad was lucky enough to stay for over a month there with his family. He scored a pair of early season swells with no one around, celebrated his 57th birthday in the most epic place imaginable and did some of the best surfing of his life. Maybe it wasn't his most radical surfing, but as you can see for yourself in this video, the speed, flow and timing are still there.
